Not Normal

Most coffee you buy has been sitting in a warehouse. It was roasted weeks ago, maybe months ago, packed into a bag with a nice label, shipped across the country, and placed on a shelf where it quietly went stale while waiting for you to pick it up.
Nobody who made it knows your name. Nobody who sold it cares whether you liked it. And when you're done with it, you'll buy another bag from the same shelf, from the same brand, and nothing will change.
That's normal. Most people don't think twice about it.
Jacked Coffee exists because I did.
