Why Your Coffee Might Not Taste as Good as It Should

Cooper Steele

If your coffee ever tastes flat, bitter, or just “off”… it might not be the beans.

It might be how you’re brewing it.

Here are three quick things that instantly upgrade your cup:

1. Use Fresh Coffee
Coffee loses flavor over time. Small-batch, recently roasted beans make a huge difference.

2. Measure Your Grounds
Too much = bitter.
Too little = weak.
A simple rule: about 1–2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water.

3. Watch Your Water Temperature
Boiling water can burn the grounds. Aim for just under boiling (around 195–205°F).

The truth? Good coffee doesn’t require fancy equipment. It requires freshness and a little intention.

If you’re already making coffee every day, you might as well make it right.
